Hazen was so excited to try rice cereal (or at least I was excited for him). He made some great faces and of course most of it poured out of his mouth but overall it was a success and he's gotten to be quite the pro at eating!

4 months old!!
Hazen is growing up way too fast for this momma! He was such a good boy at the doctor! He was also making flirty eyes at the nurse until she came in with those mean shots. He was so brave and only cried for a little while. She said his homework is to get more meat on his bones so it's easier to give him his shots. We decided we'd work on it!
His stats: Height - 24.5" (25th percentile)
Weight - 12 pounds (5th percentile)
Head - 17" (75th percentile) (For all those brains to fit!!)
The good ones!
Mom, I'm tired of taking these pics!
Just gonna lean my head here for a bit while I pull off this sticker
And I'm done...

Bring on 2013!!
I got the extreme pleasure of having two very handsome New Year's dates to bring in 2013!! Grandma bought Hazen some fancy duds and New Year's Eve was the perfect time to show them off at a party at Gigi and Papa's house and to say goodbye to Aunt G and the Castros.

5th Anniversary!!
It's so hard to believe that Cole and I have been married for 5 years! We've had so many wonderful adventures since December 29, 2007, the greatest of which arrived on September 11, 2012! For our anniversary we decided to stay close to home since I am still nursing Hazen. Cole tricked me into letting me plan our anniversary with a nice dinner and staying at the Skirvin (where we stayed on our wedding night) and then come to find out he had planned a suprise trip to a Bed and Breakfast in Guthrie. It was beautiful and quaint and of course the pumpkin pancakes for breakfast were to die for! Thank you to my amazing husband! I love you so much and can't wait for all of the new adventures to come!

It was a White Christmas!
Christmas has always been the most special and exciting holiday in my family so I have been waiting well since the minute I found out I was expecting Hazen for his first trip from Santa! And it was a huge success! He must have been a very good boy during his short 3 months because Santa brought him some amazing presents! Santa also was so thankful Hazen's cousin Harper shared one of her cookies for him to leave out. We then went to my mom and dad's for our traditional Christmas morning breakfast followed by presents, presents, presents!! Hazen did fall asleep about half way into it but then he got to wake up to so many amazing presents! We then headed out to Omega to spend time with Grandma Marks and the rest of my dad's family. It is amazing what having a child can do to make my favorite holiday even more special as I got to watch him experience it for the first time! Although he won't remember it, this momma sure enjoyed every second!
Santa brought Hazen a swing set, a musical drum, walker, and several TOYS!!

Christmas Eve
So back to the blogging...January was super crazy for this mommy so I got behind in my blogs but now I am determined to catch up! Hazen's first Christmas was so special! We spent Christmas Eve morning and day with Papa, Gigi, and the rest of the Marshall clan before going to Christmas Eve mass with my family. Hazen had so much fun playing with his cousins (or at least watching them play!) and of course opening all of his presents. Plus, he finally got to spend time with his Aunt G (Cole's sister Jenny) and it was quite a blast!

Let the Christmases begin!
We kicked off our first Christmas celebration with my mom's side of the family on December 16. Hazen was so excited to finally meet Aunt Vicki and Uncle Bruce and of course spend time playing with his cousins! It's always so fun to get together, especially when we get to see Gramps and Grandma Jan!
