I had to add these too! He loves his Mickey that Aunt Melissa got him from Disney World. He makes the craziest faces at it and it totally entertains him while mommy cooks dinner.

The fun we have!
Every morning while Cole and I get ready for work we put Hazen in his boppy on top of our bed with a million toys and he LOVES it! We jam out to music and he sings along and giggles at our dancing and attempts to sing along. It's the little moments like these that I cherish so dearly!
7 months old!!
Time flies when you're having fun!! I feel like Hazen really started looking like a little boy and less like a baby at 7 months. He's sitting up, rolling every which way, and babbling up a storm. He has discovered his true love in life...puffs! He could a whole bottle if we'd let him! Each day he grows and changes and although I'm sad he's leaving his baby days behind it is so much fun to watch him grow and mature and experience this amazing world we live in!!
Sitting up for the very first time on his own long enough for mom to take his picture just after he turned 6 months.
First trip to the zoo!
For Christmas the Barlow family got Hazen a zoo pass! We brought Harper and Owen as well as Gigi along for his first zoo trip and he loved it!! He even got to see a real life Sophie! (Giraffe). What a wonderful day!!
Check out Sophie in the background. Hazen couldn't see him but Owen and Harper were trying desperately to point him out!

All worn out!
Happy Easter
Hazen's first Easter was wonderful!! We started the weekend dying Easter eggs at the Barlows and Hazen and daddy made some really cute ones! He is so spoiled and got great gifts from everyone before the Easter bunny visited himEaster morning. It was a beautiful day for an Easter egg hunt and he looked quite dapper in his 3 piece suit at church. Mom and dad helped him hunt eggs but he picked a few up on his own! Next year he'll be an egg hunting machine so we'll just count this as a warm up!
The eyes say it all! Like father like son!
Trying on his new swim diaper! Look at those abs!

Austin
Hazen went on his first "vacation" to Austin to see Dusty and Courtney's new baby Hannah. We were a little nervous about our first driving adventure with him for such a long ride. But he did great! He slept all the way to the Texas Line. We made a lunch stop in Dallas to see one of Cole's really good friends from college Justin then headed out again. He slept almost the whole way to Austin making it a rather easy trip. Once in Austin we ate at a yummy Mexican food restaraunt called Oasis that overlooks the beautiful lake. We also checked out downtown Austin with some fun shopping as well as the University of Texas campus. Overall a very fun trip with a very good little boy! So good to learn he is such a great traveler!

My little leprechaun!!
Hazen had a great first St. Patty's Day! He had plenty of green and so never got pinched! It's so fun having my little dress up doll...even if he is a boy!!

Risky business!
Just had to post these! He's such a ham and it cracks me up that when I put these glasses on him he doesn't try to pull them off. In fact he thinks he looks pretty good!
Just like daddy
There are so many things Hazen does that make me think he's gonna be just like his daddy! They are two peas in a pod in many ways. Most of all I love watching them snuggle and love on each other. Hazen is so blessed to have such a hands on, involved, and loving daddy like he does!
Half a year!
6 months went by way too fast for this mommy!! Hazen had a great report at the doctor's office although before giving 4 (yes 4!) shots the nurse told him his homework was to put some meat on those bones! Same homework as last time!
Weight: 14 pounds 6 oz (4th %)
Length: 25.5" (12th %)
Head: 75th %
Still a little disproportionate but gotta put all those brains somewhere! He is now working on sitting up but not quite there. That big ol' noggin still gets his balance off. He loves baby food and is now up to 2 jars a day! He loves to be sitting up. Whether in his bumbo, high chair or propped up in his boppy. He's a giggling machine! And also has started grunting especially while eating! Such a silly guy! This has definitely been the best 6 months of my life!
Best friends!!
Cole and I are so lucky to have our line up of babysitters every week. Between Linda (Cole's mom) and my dad we have been so blessed to have semi-retired parents help us out with Hazen. We also hit the jack pot with our friend Erin who watches Hazen 2-3 days a week. Her daughter Kloey is just 2 months older then Hazen. They have quite the fun time together and I always wish I could be a fly on the wall watching them! I love the pictures Erin sends along with the funny stories. Needless to say there is never a dull moment with the two of them around!
